For anyone who has ever played this game, it should be easy...but for a bonus:  can you name the character pictured and the location of this shot?

Sorry, guys, that little pic is just a small portion of the entire screenshot, that's why it's so small (wanted to make it hard on ya!).  Also, the game is pretty old so the resolution is pretty low anyway.

It is Baldur's Gate, my favorite game all-time.  The shot is of the wizard who runs Sorcerous Sundries in Eastern Baldur's Gate...blanking on his name.  And the toolbar icon is the mage book.

But..who was first, Lava or Kev?  Lava says 4:54 and Kev says 4:52, but Kev did edit in the game name....you guys will have to settle this one.

correct, the original game was distributed for pc and later 3DO, in 2002 the 3DO source code was released under the gpl, and it has since been ported (under the name The Ur-Quan Masters, Star Control is a trademark owned by atari) to modern operating systems (in other words windows, linux, OS X, and pretty much everything else you can get sdl to compile on)

Ok. The scariest game I have every played (because of atmosphere, sounds, and monsters, not crappiness). If this were a FPS people would have died. Well maybe not.
