Descent has always been inside SNDM. This looks more alike fury ^3 and terminal velocity but the hud is different. Don't really know.

terminal velocity was my first thought, but the hud and ship are completely wrong for that, the hud reminds me of descent freespace, but it didn't have any missions near a planet.

It's not Freespace, in fact it's not any of the Descent series.  That's pretty much my only experience with space shooters...so :?
