Why dretches feed so much.

It occurred to me only today. Players who feed with dretches do the little dretch-brains justice. They should be awarded for realistic conduct.

Because they don't know how to wallwalk so good.  

Even when they do start wallwalking, it's in straight lines, which will be shot down almost just as fast. Gotta keep moving fast, turning and moving forward in random directions, not just strafing on the wall.

Also, they jump too much. I always laugh at the dretches that jump at you, hit a wall and lose all forward movement and keep jumping while they slowly slide along the wall.

Even accepting your supposition that brain size is relative to IQ, which has never been formally proved, walking on walls for a dretch (or spider or anything else that does that) requires no more thought than flexing a common muscle group is for most humans. Here I make no assumptions of how much thought you require to accomplish that.

In every species there will be idiots. Here Homo sapiens proves the rule, not the exception.

We shouldn't underestimate their instinct that sucks them towards the human like a mosquito. Their self-control, if any, is heavily lacking. That's my theory at least.

Because it is so terribly exiting to join a game where a few big aliens are getting all the kills and the dretch can sit in a corner waiting for evo's. Combined with extreme humans camping this is about as boring as trem can get.
