I think he means put it in the command prompt. Do you know what that is?

http://img77.imageshack.us/my.php?image=commandpromptpp8.jpg

Yes, look at my programs, I don't care. :p

If you can't use the commandprompt, I would be scared.

Also, Zero, can you code? You said you could change the whole trem game...are you talking only maps and models or code too?

Edit: WAIT A MINUTE! You have a nVidia TNT2 model 64? Haha, I had that exact same card. How on earth do you play with that? Your pc must choke on mp/ffa1, VJun.

He already knows how to bring up the command prompt, John.

Anyway, Ame, Ghost is saying to do the following in the prompt:
Code: [Select]
cd\
cd Program Files\Tremulous
Tremulous.exe

and running it that way.  If you've got a different path for Trem from C:\, change the above.  If you've got it on say, your F: drive, you'd add F: to the top of that list of things, above cd\

Also, just so I understand, does the Trem console create a dump in the prompt after it's done running, Ghost?

Actually no, I had to download a GFX driver for the card so i could play JKA and any other game that uses OpenGL, but it doesnt lag at all, I get a average of 80-90 FPS on all games.

and if I really felt like it I could reprogram the entire tremulous game to be a porno.

You don't have to program anything to do that 8) And if you had known what to do, you wouldn't have say you could reprogram it

Quote
Now, Ghost, I didnt quite understand what you said about changing the directories and w.e with the
Code: [Select]
X:\some\path\tremulous.exe
and
Code: [Select]
cd X:\some\path
tremulous

Can you please explain that a little more?

If necessary, switch your active drive using "X:" and Enter, where X is the actual letter of the drive where Tremulous is installed. Again, copy&paste the target but this time, do NOT touch Enter yet. Delete the "tremulous.exe" part from the end and type "cd " in front of the line (including the space but without quotation marks). Now press Enter, type "tremulous" (again, without quotation marks) and press Enter again.
If my answer to your problem doesn't seem helpful, it means I won't help you until you show some effort to fix your problem yourself!
1.2.0 release's been delayed for 5:48:00 already because of stupid questions.

Do not get in my face and start calling me names and shit because Im not going to put up with it and I will get up in your face and do the exact same shit to you. Im not a noob, and I do know "something" about windows. I have had my own computer since I was 7 and if I really felt like it I could reprogram the entire tremulous game to be a porno.

ok, lets see.
You have proven yourself to be a noob w/o a clue as you did not even know what OS you are running.
You might have had your computer since you were 7, that would mean you are "computing" since 22. Aug 1997.
You did not spend much time "computing" because you try your hand at drawing animish with pencils and trying to become a modder for various Q3-based games by offering maps.
That is why you failed at computer 101 and nearly failed 5 classes you needed for high school.
Believe me, when I say that it takes more c0mputar skillz then just using a FrontPage template if you want to succeed.

So Mr. Daniel from Iowa how is your ankle doing?

My ankle? wtf?? and if you think just because you can find out a whole bunch of shit about me that your going to scare me then your a freaking idiot. I can guarantee you caveman that i know more about computer than you do. and I did know what OS i had, I got confused on termanology, big deal to you i guess. The computer Im currently using I built from scratch, I love to see you do that. I also have another computer that runs a linux based OS that I edited to how I want it to look and everything. Bet you cant do that either. And Ive never failed 1 class in my life btw. Idc who you think you are caveman but you should have just dropped the convo after I said the first post to you, because 1, your a moderator, your the 1 thats suppose to stop shit like this, but you had to drag it out like a idiot just to try and prove your smart and im not, when its in all actuality the other way around.

Sorry about that ghost.
I opened cmd prmt and put in
Code: [Select]
cd/
cd program file\tremulous
tremulous.exe

It launched the game and everything went fine until I joined a game, I got the same crap and was kicked off. The cmd prmt didnt show any errors or anything so I did it 2 more times with still no errors. So idk whats up with that.

there wasnt 1, there was nothing there. it just exited it with no errors or anything, all that was open was command prompt and it didnt say anything that was trem related except that it executed it.
