It is recent that more and more nooby builders with crappy bases are occuring nowadays, so i was wondering if it does bother you.

If it bothers anyone, then that one should either !denybuild, !designate or build himself.

Anyhows, this poll should have been here, before you had the glorious idea about the certified builders :)

Its not recent, and its not new.  I think this means that you are no longer a crappy builder, and are finally capable of seeing the immense flood of crappy builders surrounding you.  ;D

Everyone's a noob at some point. The best thing to do is just show them how to make a better base, so they won't do it again.

Well, I usually want to get building ASAP, and it's a bit useless just to hang around as a granger/builder and do nothing (Unless you're a hovel camper like me ;) ). Noobs usually don't think that they're making $h!t bases, and so they don't think they need to observe other builders. Usually they get kicked as soon as they lay down their first acid tibe/turret. Just telling them to "watch and learn" usually does the trick. If that doesn't work, kick 'em ;) .

I thought it pretty much obvious that newb should not hang in a base with a useless ckit if they don't know howto. Also kicking someone just because he placed ONE support building wrong?

Communication in most trem games is mostly non-existent.  You either stay in your corner out of the way and hope to get it right, or hope to learn by yourself.  There's a few who help out, but even more who'd rather just kick the newbs and continue their 1337 game.

I don't mind bases that are nooby really, only when bad decons occur. However, I will often get in some helpful remarks to those builders.

When I do mind nooby builders, it's when I'm trying to build. Funny story (WARNING: MEAN STUFF AHEAD):

I was at Dretch*Tsunami, building away. About three others spawn as builders suddenly. After they start building horribly, I calmly tell them to not build, because I had it under control. Two of them listen. The other continues to build. I had used up a denybuild vote on a builder earlier. Now some other guy helps and tries. It fails. So, I tell the guy to stop building again. He doesn't listen. Then the others spawn as builders, AGAIN. I begin something that substitutes as "fun." I swap out my c-kit and start shotgunning anyone who spawns as builder and builds a dumb structure, in the face. Well after a while I had -8 or so, and a prettier base. The dude who kept up the noobishness the most was "WTF"ing at this point, and when he built another noob turret, I ran him through with a saw. He called a vote, and apparently that -9 didn't look so good.

Moral 1: Ask and ask and ask until they stop. (??????? ??? ??????????  ???)

Moral 2: Make sure that, when you're building at a totally public server, denybuild is a vote and you can vote multiple times.

Hmm.  That reminds me.  I have no clue why, but I was guarding the main entryway inside of the human base on ATCS; I was on that little ramp between the ramps for the two sides (human base on the right, hall entrance on the left, I'm in the middle).  I had a Lucy cannon and was aiming a discouraging mixture of spam and minimal charged Lucy shots for the Rants and A Goons to listen to (and hopefully net myself a few dretches on the way).  Every once in a while they'd come barreling in, but this was during a lull.  This numbskull nekked rifleman comes up to the base-side ramp, and starts shooting me.  Got me down to around 60 health and got a little mad.  Got the Lucy nice and warm, swung sideways, and let him have it in the face.  Now, I really shouldn't have, but I felt quite a lot better after that.  :/  Oh, and he did something else n00bish a minute later, and they started a vote and kicked him.  XD  Which is probably what I should have done.  But I didn't want him to kill me while I looked for his name in the Vote menu... hopefully that was my primary reason.  ;D

if people whine against the 'noob' builders for building retarded

they should have build themselves and not let anyone else do it.. lose and then whine... thats more noob then building 5 DPC's instead of turrets >.>

everyone was noob, i doubt anyones first base could withstand thesame rush as those 'noob' builders had


people should stop showing so much hatred to noobs and newbies

if you like it or not... you where one too.. and you... EVERYONE started noob/newbie
noone installed the game, joined a server and became instant pro...

instead of flaming/whining people should try and TEACH them how to build (or how not to feed) w ithout ruining the game for them too! (since thats what whiners/flamers do.. they got there game ruined so they ruin the games of others while they prolly had fun)

its more fun when those 'noobs' get teached and get skills so they can be a decent oponent aswell :)
