Does Tremulous ONLY works with OpenGL?

Hi, my name is Hendrich and i've been a tremulous fan for a really long time. This is my first post and the question I always had was that if tremulous can run on Direct3D Systems by any chance? I know maybe others are asking the same question.

It could take a hacked version, a system consol code, or whatever. Anything can help, I just want to know if its possible because I play tremulous on another computer and I want it on the computer in my room, but the computer in my room doesn't support Direct 3D.

Maybe Direct3D drivers can support OpenGL drivers somehow, I just want expert advice on this subject.

Please dont be a jerk and point out I'm a complete idiot for not checking the site or something, because I couldn't find anything on the official site.

Anything can help, thx.

tremulous can only use opengl, but just about every single operating system has an opengl implementation, you should be able to play trem if you install graphics drivers from ati/nvidia/intel (depending on which graphics card you have)

DirectX contains an OpenGL implementation. You just need to have the correct drivers.
