Okay, so we've all been in the position of laying waste to the enemy base only to come back and find our own base is gone due to wanker building.  Frustrating as hell, especially if you're human and realize that your remaining time in game is now reduced to seconds and that sweet victory has been denied to you.

How would the community feel about an open group dedicated to reliable building and the education of players in the latest building techniques, and in general, attempt to raise the quality of bases, particularly on open servers.  The main idea is that the players would be tagged, and so recognizable as capable builders, and thus designated as the builder(s) for the team.  Obviously its going to be pretty small.  I doubt more than 5-10 players will even take interest, but in theory could be also used as a standardization benchmark if the Society can show serious results.  Clans could send their less capable builders to the Society to get better rated as part of their training.

I see a few problems with this. You want the less able builders of clans to check you guys out. However, the servers you hang around have well over the amount of buildpoints and people that are in a clanwar. Also, a good amount of players play on smaller servers with less BP as well. If you want a player to truly become a good builder, start with the default 100. If you are a good builder with less BP, you can become a good builder with more. Not so much the other way around.

Good idea.  Considering I'm mainly the Zilla/Zirra builder I'd sign up.  I try bunches of new bases, without really knowing which is truly the best.  It'd be neat to see some good builders help me out some.

lol, by the way, what would my name be?  [TSME]Bull+Zilla?  Bull+Zilla[TSME]  Who knows.  I just don't want it to be very long.

Oh well, yea, good idea, and Equi good suggestions.

We do start with the basic half circle or traingle defences of turret placing then compact areas for human bases, good spots, etc.
Usually we play at SST Tremulous server or DretchStorm. We can handle most situations, and definetly bases will hold up to around an hr or so if u see me build :)

You could post some pictures of your superb bases to let me have a look on how good you are.I would like to implent on them too.
Website is under construction, need some rearranging and catergorise them.

But how could be the rules? Time attack rounds with only repairing/rebuilding available...? Or camping defenders added...? <.<

What's the use of playing with 50bp? 100bp is the default, in case you didn't notice, and more than enough to build a good base.
