I found a mod that allows us to add bots in our server http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=6163.0
However, I am not a good Mac computer user and i have no idea how to install this.
Can someone please type the steps required to install this mod?

Replace game.qvm with attached qvm

kcc039

... your not looking, i am using Mac, mac doesn't have the  file called game.qvm

David

Then do to this mod whatever it was you did to make trem work without a game.qvm.

dude, obviously you are not mac users. we don't have to do anything to the files, there's a mac download that is playable once the zip/rar package is unpacked.

kcc039

The files in mac is different from windows, please. only mac users answer post please, unless you really know HOW to do it.

Rocinante

I am a Mac user.  I have run a server on my Mac.  You replace the game.qvm.

To paraphrase the Holy scriptures as written by Douglas Adams, your misunderstanding of the answer may show that you do not truly understand the question.

>_>
Stop posting if you don't have a clue.
No QVM and the game won't run. (Both client and server)

I'll help. I'm not going to make any assumptions with this post, so I won't even assume you know what the ~ means in terms of file location.

From the top:
Go to your hard drive, then to the Users folder. In that, there will be an icon shaped like a house which has your username next to it. In this folder, there's a 'Library' folder. In there, a folder called 'Application Support'. And, finally, in that folder is one called 'Tremulous'.

In there should be the 'fs-games' or server mod names for every server you've been to. I'm assuming you haven't changed your fs_game from the default, so go to the 'base' folder. In there are all your binds, some map stuff and several important server files: admin.dat and server.cfg, as well as the 'vm' folder. In the 'vm' folder is 'game.qvm', the Quake Virtual Machine folder which powers your server.

It is this folder which everyone is telling you to replace. The game.qvm file.

If you are computer literate, this is what you should do:

Navigate to ~/Library/Application\ Support/Tremulous/base/vm. Replace 'game.qvm' with the one included in your mod.

You mean in my guide or in his situation?

Because it's there in my guide.

I don't own a mac, but personally I would never listen to blood2.0 for technical instructions.
