way to make sure you get in the last word lava

Steam is a bloated pile of festering crap, if trem goes steam, trem gets forked.

Agree.

And i dont like steam, it just will remove the escence of what tremulous is, and i use LINUX, and i dont wanna run a seam on wine....

[On-topic] Has someone at least asked steam representatives about this? Is there something wrong with doing so? They themselves might tell us why it is/is not a good idea.
The person who should be doing that is timbo, or someone acting on his behalf.
And there wouldn't be any point until a release date for 1.2 is available.

That makes a negative amount of sense.
Tremulous supports (officially) Linux and Windows, though it also runs on Mac OSX and FreeBSD. Probably on more OS', too.

Steam does not support Linux, which is what I think you meant to say.

Steam is a game distribution service, but I personally go to the Internet proper for my free games. While Steam might be the way to go for commercial developers, it would be a bit wasteful for Trem.

Wouldn't i just get Trem MORE publicity, having it on such a widely used game distribution service as Steam? :/
I mean, I sometimes browse the list over games on steam  to see if there is anything fun for free there. :p
If I came over Tremulous one day (and didn't play it on beforehand) I might try it if it had a intriguing game description and some nice screenies+ a movie..

Zune? Isn't that the thing Microsoft claimed was a "real iPod-killer", but it later turned out almost no one wants it?
I'm a developer! If you'd like to contribute to the Equilibrium QVM project or download the latest version, please visit this thread.

QVMs now compile under Leopard; get the patch here. Requires SVN r1053 or later.

Yes, and also a crappy, reskined Windows Media Player. It's hart to tell the two apart, except that one constantly runs, eats your network, and kills your CPU. Guess which?
