Well, there's one board (the default).

Anyway, I'm starting work on the site's basic layout, I'll send it to you guys for review when it's done.

Due to inapropiate actions in game including server hijacking and general disrespectfulness freakshow has been removed from the void roster.  If anyone sees him in game please send him this direction and ask him to take off his tag.

*sigh* He told me he was done with that shit, which is why I editted out my complaint and turned it into the "Bunnies Are Fluffy" thread.

I'm sorry to hear he decided to stay his course.  :(

Damn. :(

On a more positive note, the forum appears to be up. All Void members go post there right now!

Powa and Strange, how goes the site? I could help set it up for you, if you trust me with an FTP account. ;)

[EDIT] I appear to have gained access to the Admin panel. Is this intentional?

BTW, I forgot if I mentioned in this thread before (I got a 733 Mhz computer which lags on IE, gotta get me Chrome)

But the last tiime I was on the Void server, I got banned and I didn't do anything, I spectated for a bit (It was lagging so I was like "Off to Harwes!" ) then it said I got banned when I tried to go on again, can someone please address if this problem had been fixed? Thanks. :D

@ Powa and eVe: Not to be mean but how the hell did he get in in the first place? Vote on the old forum?  I don't recall, thus the question.

@ Syntac: I'm pushing for a site upload but we're dependent on Powa's timing, he'll be up for more delegating once the foundations are set but he wants the setup to be done just so.

@ Hendrich: Don't take the ban personally, everyone (including myself) got banned on accident :D I think it's fixed now, if not that server's going away anyway. We're getting (probably) 2 other servers for gameplay and testing purposes.

OMG, its worse then we thought. *Takes a huge breath* Syntac is a terrorist acting as a friendly and awsome QVM developer. We need to kill him for it is a state of national security, hes using a Open-Sourced Game fan-based forum's admin panel to open a dimensinal portal where a place known as Xen hosts powerful aliens and creatures that are hiding under a city below sea level known as Rapture where evil mechinery known as the "Slicers" are gaurding the all-mighty Portal gun which opens a portal to the golden Companion Cube Granger, *takes another huge breath* which is the key to the delicious Cake gaurded by a computer known as GlaDOS and her employee G-man, which G-man made Powa let you have admin so all this shit would happen. *Wheez*.

Or that either the Void community gave you admin privliges or its just a mistake they made.   ::)

I'm guessing the last one, although it might be the second. Definitely not the first (funny, though).

It's odd, though, that they'd give me this sort of access but not the ability to actually, you know, administrate the forum.

Hehe, technically no one should have admin/usergroups/mod status yet, Powa said he'll work on that probably tomorrow.  'Twill be fixed soon.

God damn you people reply fast, I have no clue why regular members have access to the admin panel, its kind of disgruntling.

I never had these problems on any other smf forums I've used.  I'm getting really tempted to just go with phpbb.

@ eVe: I was going off the one incident sorry, but I've never seen him in game once, and thats the only thing I've heard about him.  He was kind of let in on a what the hell basis since he applied while recruitment was light and ozzy was like sure just let him in.  Someone hijacking a server, wearing a tag that encourages child pornography, and being a straight up dick doens't really qualify as void material so I'm not being generous and warning him, he's out and can deal with it.  If he wants to hunt me down in game, play with me for a month or more, and show me he can be a respectful person then he is more than welcome to reapply.

Ok Forums are functioning usergroups are up.

Please tell any members you see to register on http://voidofdeity.net/forum

Any members not registered in 2 weeks time from now will be taken off the roster.  Sorry to be picky but we need to clean up the activity and organization.  Please point all new applicants there also.

If you get taken off the roster because you didn't make it in the 2 weeks, register and send me a pm explaining why, if you register and can be semi-active I see no reason in not putting you back on.

Sorry I haven't dedicated much time lately, and plan on turning that around.

The suggested bases posted on your forums are so incredibly crappy they make me look away.
I suggest you get a competent builder to create those guides and take these guides full of misinformation offline.

Maybe, if I have the time, I'll create some guides. Do realize I work at the same speed as TremDev.

[EDIT] Lots of dead image links in the guides too. Check the Karith guide for example.

@ Lava:  I personally am not a fan of all the bases on there myself, one thing to be aware of is that anyone can post on those forums and they aren't necessarily the official view of Void, as none of them are previewed.  Our "Official" Guild projects will be labeled as such when completed, this is simply a start for members to begin to get involved.

Compare to the Guides Section on the GH forum (which epically failed, I was the only one to post a guide, and looking back it wasn't very good imo. xD) Anyone could post, the official GH view was (supposed) to be labelled [GUIDE].  The difference here is that people are actually doing it... :-)  I'd love to see anything you come up with though, I'm sure the other staff would agree, anyone's ideas are appreciated and soon official projects will be released.

Having your forums full of information that will only lead to people building crappy bases is contraproductive.

Bases are an opinion, also, I was planning on making either stickied or separated guides that we make official later.  Maybe vote on the guides and sticky what we think the best is.  In no form or way are we implying that the bases King posted are the bases that should always be built on those maps.  They are just the way king suggests it.

I'm considerding making a sub section in Individual projects for guides, and making another guide section in the guild projects for any guides or documents that void tags as official.

Also, you could easily say something a long the lines of, "Hey I don't think those base ideas are very good and could possibly be misleading."

If you have constructive criticism, we would love to hear it.  Bland insults and lack of respect, howerver, you can keep out of our thread please.  It would be much appreciated if you did.  We would love to see your base ideas though if you have the time.

Eitherway, thanks for actually reading the thread and putting some kind of input, nice to see you're at least intrigued by what we're doing.  Cheers.

Yes, let's see your base ideas.  And the fact that people will actually build is better than not building at all.

People will build anyhow, it's the quality of the building that matters.
My point is that Void of Deity is meant to give Tremulous players information, but I reckon it's not meant to give people information that will make them perform bad.

Also, it's hard to gauge the quality of most of the basebuilding guides, since they are all crammed with dead links.

Since a guide for the Human base on Nexus6 is missing, I will supply you with images SOON have supplied St. Vrayne with images.
