thanks for all the help guys i got my server up and its in the right list now...
but! i have a question about the admin.dat thing: what exactly im i supposed to put in it?? or do i just leave it blank??

Well, it is really simple:

Either you want to have different admin levels, in which case you have to read and follow the document behind the link. Or you don't want it, in which case you leave it blank. The answer was given to you either way.

I am not quite sure if the rcon admin is written to the admin.dat

If it is, there might be a second admin.dat in a different path. Try to search for "admin.dat" and see if you get more than one hit.

what should i type in the file to make the other commands work??

1. Read the fucking link
2. Take a look at the "sample_admin.dat"
3. Modify it by reading the fucking link and editing the admin flags accordingly
4. Execute !readconfig

i did that, i even copy pasted it and it DOESNT WORK!!

Ahhh... Make sure not to do it when the server is running, or all your changes will get destroyed. Alternatively, you can do !readconfig in the server console immediately after saving the file.

after i did it i closed the server then i saved the changes, then when i turned it on again i did !readconfig

ok ive been typing in all the stuff, but i have a question,
dont be an ass just answer it:
when u type in the stuff on admin.dat what is the order??

The order is "levels, admins, bans, commands", based on the admin.dat files I've seen. Also make sure the file is where Tremulous can find it.

well its in the base folder of my tremulous, i think thats the right place right??

The base folder with data-1.1.0.pk3 and vms-1.1.0.pk3? If so, wrong one.

Well, you put it in the wrong place. You know where autogen.cfg is? Put it there, in the folder called "base".
