Yes, good luck. And maybe full IP would be good?

What's the point of that?
64.131.74.114:64738 takes too long to respond for me

full ip for the server is: 64.131.74.114:55331 -- the 64738 port you put on the ip is for our mumble server, not trem

the point of the SD if that's what you're referring to is that SD will only happen if it's voted by the players or the timelimit is extended

Now that I actually read your post and realize what a stupid mistake I made, I also noticed that you made a stupid mistake: the real port is 53311, not 55331. Now we're even :)

The question was about the point of having sudden death begin at the time limit. If I recall correctly, sudden death votes can be called even with sudden death disabled. But I recommend not allowing sudden death votes, since they cause problems more often than not.

What QVM are you guys using? It's nice to see more "pure" Tremulous servers out there, even with your unusual SD settings. :)
Stop it. Seriously.

Actually we're using 5.3 already. I updated the week it came out :P

The SD settings are there because it has been my experience that SD causes camping, skews balance, and just makes the game boring as hell. This puts the pressure on teams to actually _try_ to win, instead of just camping until SD and using it as a crutch. It also removes some of the inevitability from the alien team on some maps. SD votes need >65% to pass, so I haven't seen any issues with them. Most games they are never called. Less games than you would think end up going to time.

I will accept some map-specific changes if anyone wants... not sure. More bp for maps like Pulse, etc. Any opinions on this will be appreciated. Extended time for some of the larger maps might be good.

Another note; if you can't talk, do /!register in console.

Code: [Select]
!listmaps
1984b4               meep_b2              pulse_102
arachnid2            mission_one_b6       rotcannon_b10
atcs                 nano-beta2           transit
gloom2beta2          nexus6               tremor
karith               niveus               uncreation
mcc                  powergrid_b25        utcsb2

The admin levels are also set up to prevent abuse, even at medium levels. On a side note, if anyone sees abuse, please give me a /condump of it. Contact me immediately if you see players "stealing" the server by attempting to votekick anyone who joins.

What's this?

a *pure* server with *friendly mods* ?
It's either pure or modded, but not both at the same time...

"Mods" probably meaning "moderators" in this case.
