Lol, I color my threads to make em' look pretty, but you replying with colors and over-using smileys is a bit much, tone it down and we can happily help you with you're problem without our eyes bleeding.
I hate your guts Syntac, for once again, reminding me of the god awful thread.
Now, I'm pretty sure you want to learn how to backport your client. First thing is to forget all the crap you just posted on this thread and read what I've have to say, it may help. The "client", is basically you're 'Tremulous.exe' program, found in [C:\Program Files\Tremulous] and
inside that folder has a ugly-looking spider thing.
Looks like this:
That client you get when you first download Tremulous is called the "Vanilla" client, which basically means "The original/out-dated client".
Most servers that are now out for Tremulous uses updated clients created by modders helps the basic server run better, patches most bugs, and provides neat features. It also gives you something called a "Guid", which is basically a feature that allows server admins to give admin powers to other players, like you. First, go to this website:
http://risujin.org/tremulous/Risujin, just one of the many awesome people in Tremulous, created a nifty backport that is easy to execute. There are other backports made by others, but lets try this one, because it is generally (in my understanding) the most commonly used backport. At first, you'll be "WTF HENDRICH, THIS WEBSITE HAS TOO MUCH SHIT, WHERE IS BACKPORT ARGGGGLOLOLOL!!!1!". Well, skip all the great information Risujin has until you get to the bottom of the page. it should say "Client Backport", and under it to the right is the backport files you want. The files are on the links where the yellow boxes are, just pick the file with your corresponding operating system.
If you're still confused where the backports are, here are the direct liks to the file (Sorry Risujin, but all the credit goes to you):
Windows Backport File:
http://risujin.org/pub/tremulous/backport-svn931-4-win32.zipMacOS Backport File:
http://www.bandstand.org.uk/~benm/trem/client-svn911-ub-smp-3.zipLinux Backport File:
http://risujin.org/pub/tremulous/backport-svn931-4-linux.tar.gzJust, save the files on your desktop. For Windows (atleast), the files are in a zipped archive, so un-zip them on your desktop. Select and copy whatever the hell is
inside the folder, and paste it in your [C:\Program Files\Tremulous] folder, if a window pops-up asking you to say "Yes to all" or "No" or "Something Else", just click on the "Yes to all" button. There, ta-da! You have your backport installed. Now the server won't ask you to upgrade your client anymore.
If what I just said didn't help you, or what I've just done isn't the awnser you weren't looking for, then I'm sorry.
