Reward Points System

What about a system where players are awarded with points and can trade them in for stuff? I may or may not code this; depends on whether it's a bloody stupid idea. Sorry, I don't have enough sober brain cells to decide anything for myself. :-\

I have a great idea for such a system.
Ok, both teams will have to kill each other to get points.
For the aliens, the higher the class, the more points the human who killed the alien(s) can get.
For the human, the better equipment they have on, the more points the alien who killed the human(s) will get.
They can trade in these points for equipment (Humans) or Classes (Aliens).
The points the humans will get will be called credits and for the aliens, evos.
For the human, 175 credits = 1 alien evo.

Do you see the problem now Syntac? Or am I being a jerk and you were talking about something else?  :P

Um, I was thinking about something where admins can !reward good players (with code to prevent them from rewarding themselves; to prevent circumvention of this measure, console usage is disabled) with points. With a command like /redeem, the lucky player can then purchase stuff with these points. Like evos/credits, an HP increase, a free evolution (for aliens), or a random upgrade (for humans).

Sorry if this sounds completely stupid and/or X-ish, but I'm crazy drunk right now. I really need a USB breathalyzer.

Ok, so I was being a jerk.  ;D

Anyhow, can't an admin or a sub-admin abuse this, just like the !explode/!drug/etc commands? "Hey look, theres my friend Syntac, I'll just give him a gazillion reward points for nothing!". I know this feature can be used for good, but since those other commands (!mix/!poke/etc) were intended for good, but many admin users abused them noneoftheless, I think it'll do more damage then help. Since it's in the admin's power to do so.

Why not make it so, for example, we're playing a 2 vs 2 game with me and you on the humans, and two other idiots on aliens. You start backing me up alot, so I want to give something back to you, but all I have is 175 crappy credits. I can do "!reward syntac", and it randomly picks a prize for you, like extra HP or credits, etc. It can backfire too, like saying "Nothing happened to Syntac" or something. I dunno, it sounds something like the !rtd feature in the horrid [A] Server, but oh well. Atleast this way the feature can't be abused, theres not a 100% chance that your going to get a reward, and I can't keep doing it or else I'll run out of credits.

Anyways, can't you stay sober for more then one minute? What have you been drinking, Booster?  :P
