New Forum Themes

Its great to see the devs working on the forum, and creating the new and awesome styles all the time. But for me, personally, its a major annoyance having to go into options and force-switch back to the default SMF, because I am USED to it, and I do NOT want to have anything new.

Would it be kindly possible not to force-switch the forum users to a new theme every time? But rather to do it in a less brutal way of setting it to default (unless overriden) and posting a new topic to ask people to evaluate it? Even if the new look is good, the first feeling I get about it is annoyance and urge to switch back to default, which does not give any additional points to the design.

If SMF allowed me the option to do so, I would. Plus there are only about 6 people who use non-default (probably a few more now with this shit theme) so meh.

Well, I've already switched back to the Tremulous theme.

Not because I didn't like the Hello Granger one, but because you can't see if there are new posts in boards on it. You need to fix that, because that theme is the BEST THEME EVAR.

I agree with Troy, even though some people will enjoy this little "surprise" and changing the theme isn't a problem, you, Khalsa (of all people) should know that the only real benefit from making this default rather then optional for the ones who wants to get in the festivities is for shock value. And I'm pretty sure it won't be the good kind, because people like me don't want to see ugly pink themes blaring from their monitors for the lulz.
