Err... That is for 1.1... I use 1.2... Is there wikis for servers on 1.2?
The server.cfg and admin.dat are set up the same way in both 1.1 and GPP afaik.

the admin.dat uses multichar flags thats about the only change

Err... That is for 1.1... I use 1.2... Is there wikis for servers on 1.2?

Thanks anyways!
The article is highly lacking, but most of it is not specifically for 1.1 (some of it is not for 1.1 at all).

Maybe there's some other guide out there that is better that I don't know about? Maybe someone wants to fix that article?

The best known solution for "doesn't work" is to fix it.

If you want more specific help, try giving a more specific problem.

In tremded-gpp consoleg_adminto make sure it is set to what you want (probably admin.dat, but it doesn't hurt to check)whichto see where it is
e.g.,]which admin.dat
File "admin.dat" found at "/home/yourname/.tremulous/gpp"

Ok, it works... But console say me the g_admin is Admin.dat^7, but Admin.dat^7 doesn't exist when I search it with which.

Lots of Laughts or I must just rename the Admin.dat file?

Thanks a lot!

Uh... Just use admin.dat, since the game probably ignores the ^7 (which is a color code anyway and shouldn't have any effect on path names)?

ok, can you give me the tool thingy app that can code?

XSync

But I setted admin.dat, and ranks are the standard... And color codes are before the text... Maybe I must rename the admin.dat...

Don't, it would be a dumb idea to add carets to a filename for a number of reasons, the biggest one is that it probably just won't help.

It would be better to just go into the tremulous console and:

/seta g_admin admin.dat

Ghaaaaah... yesterday I discovered a secret : the Tremulous files aren't in the standard Tremulous folder... That problem is resolved...

Now, the last... Why I can't see MY server from MY PC? N.B.: The server and the Tremulous Server are on the same PC, and the same Operating System... I can't see it in Interned because I haven't a public IP... But, how about LAN? I can't see it anyways...

Ah, fs_basepath and fs_homepath confusion. Makes sense.

However why you can't see your server is an easier question. First:

1. try /connect 127.0.0.1, this will connect to your computer. This will evade any firewall problems, as well as dedicated options.

2. try getting your LAN IP address and /connecting to that address. If you can't figure this out, skip this step because I'm too lazy to try to explain that to you.

3. try setting the server browser to look for LAN rather than internet servers.

If 1 doesn't work, then you're server is not set up properly, try configuring it to load a map when it starts up, and if *that* doesn't work, give us a condump. If 2 and 3 don't work, then you probably didn't understand the instructions, but its possible something really weird could be going on.

Yeah, step 1 works...

There is only one problem... I'm not me, so Me isn't me for the console, because I'm in the console, too... So, I become " Unamed Player " and I lose all Admin levels... Well, I will see what I can do...

The commands for UBP say : " set g_humanbuildpoints = 9999... ". But, where is the file with the counter of Humans build points? It isn't in Admin.dat...

Aelita

there is no file with a counter and there is no equal sign on a set command
