Sadly, I didn't catch this post in time to make a response which would've contained any relevancy to current affairs.

I never was up in the affairs of the entire business. But from a spectator's standpoint through the entire thing, I have to at least ramble on about SOMETHING for a bit.

First of all, I have been known to repetitively throw pearls to swine in saying "Why can't everyone just get along?". The environment for any community-driven game is a delicate one. People fighting and swearing over forums, or people fighting or swearing while sitting in spectator in the actual game, do absolutely nothing to improve the experience of what I personally consider "The Greatest Free Software FPS".

Second, if you haven't had the shit beaten out of you so badly by other posters that you've finally left Tremulous for good, Outflanked: I never did hate you as you claimed so many times. I hated your attitude. You reminded me of a kid who went to my school when I was younger. For his incessant conspiracy theories and rumor starting, he received three cracked ribs, a broken nose, and a very sore genital area one Tuesday afternoon as he was walking home from school.

Third, back when GPP was simpler and I was more a noob than I am now, people were kind to me and gave me helpful advice. The last time I saw such advice given to a noob was by Itamar, who's not been seen by myself in an age, about 4 months ago (I think). Please, I ask all clan leaders who are still active, do not allow anarchists in your clan to ruin the game for everyone else.

Outflanked: The elaborate story which you have crafted, I will say non-sarcastically, is somewhat impressive. The fact that you've actually managed to convince me that you hung out in my server to scout my clan out is amazing. I felt somewhat hurt when I read that my clan was undesirable. Then I began laughing, as I realized that I actually had let you grab hold of my emotions, for a short second, with something which seemed so much to be an insult to my clan. I realized that it wasn't an insult, after thinking about it for a few minutes.

FSW was built to get away from, frankly put, assholes. We tried to help each other improve in the game. I may not have done the best at my job, myself being quite a noob when I started the clan, (which probably is the reason I let so many people in so quickly without testing them, or anything like that) but I believe that I started something that Tremulous needed. Not because I was wanting to take anything over, or go to war with another clan, but because I believed in helping others out.

Actually, a lot of that last paragraph was complete garbage. I never actually started FSW as a clan. I just stuck {FSW-Head} in front of my name as I sat in my newly created server, and some people asked if they could wear the tag as well. We became a clan later, and with no official list of who our members were.

Final point, since I've grown tired of typing this out, I believe that Tremulous needs to start bringing people in again. Recruit a friend or two.

And since I have to include at least ONE signaturable item in each of my posts, here you go:
If a Tremulous 1.2 comes out and there's nobody there to play it, does it need any sounds?
