US1, Autocracy of Admins

So today, I connect to US1. I decide that i'll call a vote, you know to try a map that's not constantly being played, a map out of the rotation. So I call two (that's right, not 1, not 3, not 1/3, but 2!) votes, which results in myself being muted. When I log in later I am informed by the admin that I have "learned my lesson." So could someone tell me, what exactly is the lesson here?

Votes were being spammed left and right by several people and it was getting annoying. One admin said no more votes for a while, and I said that the next to call a vote would get muted. You then called a vote, so I muted you. Then, you proceeded to spam /admintest, so another admin gave you a five minuet kick. The lesson here, quite simply, is don't spam.

Now i don't know the entire situation but from your description it sounds like you called a vote and right when it failed another one.
The lesson is to not call the same vote again right after it has failed.

I do believe it was a different map the second time around.

Numerous players were calling map votes, it just so happens that wolf had the most trouble shutting up when asked to, and so he was muted, when a player can't handle the horrible frustration off silence for more than a few seconds without feeling the need to spam admintest, a kick is the least they can expect.

Logitech, if you want to be taken seriously, don't spam admintest in protest of a mute. It's the Tremulous equivalent of a two year old child kicking and screaming.

Clearly, if it isn't constantly being played, its not a good map. That's why they fail. Orion, Atcs, Wrecktify, Steampunk, Slimepunk, Karith. Those are good maps. Maps like pulse and uncreation are shit.
