maprotation, maps and versions

I am adding maps to the rotation on Yaknet and I am having trouble deciding which ones to add.  Also there seems to be multiple versions of a few of the maps.

What is the latest versions of each map.  I can be pretty sure that if it says final then its gotta be the latest.  

What are the GOOD new maps.  Am I missing any that I should have?

before getting started on what is good and what isnt, unless you have downloads on you should think about which maps are more easily attainable; there are maps on that list that i have never heard of, Bunker5634 and DMB01, to name two.

cannon is a proof-of-concept of a dretch cannon--there is nothing more than the cannon and one spawn per team, all in a room about the size of the default atcs bases.

thermal, atcszalpha, gloom3t--these are pretty good, although thermal may be a little big depending on the number of players (i dont kno wat the yaknet max is)

the rest --its been a while since ive looked at them, with the exception of pulse and hamunaptra. pulse - the way the teams play could be compared to niveus, and the map itself could be compared to a cross of tremor and uncreation-its dark and some people dislike it enough to leave. hamunaptra - this map is strange, like completely different than any other, and from what ive read in this forum, pretty much you either love it or hate it. highrise is the same.
utcs - you probably dont want to include it if the max players is much over 12

For the most part, use the latest versions for everything. procyon-beta1 is newer than procyon-preview1 (although both would be rather large for Yaknet... for any server, really). Some people really like hamunaptra, but most don't. Most people find some of the eggs in highrise amusing, but don't like playing it. I don't know if anyone really thinks Labyrinth is suitable for playing.

Never heard of the map wth (I'd guess based on its name that it's not a serious map).
Need help? Ask intelligently. Please share solutions you find.

Thats what we need, helpful players, not more powerful admins.

There is a lot of junk in this list...Old versions, dropped maps...

My advice would be to try the maps by yourself, because, depending on your server (number of players, build points, etc...) some arent suited.

Here are the maps which are good enough (provided your number of players/build points are suited for them) to be in rotation in a regular server (you can also add 3 more with newer version...check on the bottom of the post) :

Lots of Duplicates
map-hamunaptra.pk3 <-- This one wasn t made for Tremulous but another game. DASPRID will modify it to suit Tremulous better.
map-wth.pk3  <-- Unknown...probably an unplayable test/dropped map
map-Bunker5634.pk3 <-- Unknown...probably an unplayable test/dropped map
map-Labyrinth.pk3 <-- Awful map...The mapper is not good and the layout of the map is not suited for Tremulous' gameplay
map-cannon_b1.pk3 <-- this is only a "proof of concept" for the Dretch Cannon. Unplayable.
map-uranium-alpha3.pk3 <--- Unknown...probably an unplayable test/dropped map
highrise-b5.pk3 <-- Loosy map...Its a map full of traps/switches...More like a joke. Cant be used for a REAL game of Tremulous
map-DMB01-alpa.1.0.pk3 <-- Alpha test which wasn t very well received (no news from the mapper for a while)...not suited for regular rotation
map_aegis_station_b1.pk3 <-- The map has huge performance issues...The mapper said he would fix them but no news from him for quite some time.
map-Outpost-Warthog.pk3 <--- Unknown...probably an unplayable test/dropped map

I m surprised there is so many unknown maps...Where did you get this list ? did a mapper released a map on a national forum but didn t speak about it on this forum ?
