More and more Bolt Thrower.

Specifically The IVth Crusade.

The first eight Black Sabbath albums. I got the Black Box set from the library.

And since I just started listening to it, the proper response would be "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath, from the album Black Sabbath.

@p1: Damn. If only I had known about that page earlier in the year. It would've helped me out with about five music projects. No mention of Db Minor though. Probably too heavy for them.

//Wickedly off-topic:

Check out the related pages that try to attribute certain colors to key. It would be really cool to try to do a light show based on combining the various systems described here, using each system for a different element of the stage set. For example the Fourier "metal" could be the front lights (for various shades of gray use neutral density gel or just dim "white" light; also, as Rimsky-Korsakov considered "C" as white, I would have "iron" be open white) while his "rainbow" color could be the side lights (never underestimate the value of a good rim light for modeling and revelation of form - without it dance and glamour pr0n would look like shit). I would have Scriabin's colors and the Rosicrucian colors be my truss colors, and have color changers on the drums, using the LucyTuning system for that color. So a song in Db-min would be: white front light, with additional white light (silver is brighter than iron) or something mirrored, indigo rim light, violet and green-green-blue on the trusses, with blue-green on the drums.

Oh, yeah: "D-minor is the saddest of all keys", said Nigel Tufnel; and did you read what they had to say about D#-min? Db-min would just make them jump from rooftops, no?

:'( :P

Sorry for continueing the wickedly off topicness.  That would be completely awesome to have the light system relate to the music.  I wonder how the crowd would react and if they'd even notice.  I think that could be an excellent edition to a concert.  Normally lights and stage effects are timed to beats, but I don't know how often chord recognization is taken into consideration.  Anyone up for trying it?

Wow, thank you, I was actually looking for that song but was too lazy to google it.  I heard it in an amv and had no clue who it was by.  This is an excellent song.

Wasn't this in Vice City or San Andreas?

Edit: The original, by The Cult, was in Vice City.

Ironicly the remix is what I heard.  It's definately more ear friendly, being studio quality, but I would love to see it live.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYx2xxikvm8

that would be where I heard it, shame they couldn't credit the artist because YT is a bitch about copyrights(that totally fall into the fair use policy *sigh*)

It was just oddly convienent that you happened to link that song when I thought about looking it up a few minutes earlier.

BWV 1056

... which is the number for both a Violin Concerto in g-minor and for a Harpsichord Concerto in f-minor.

In this case it is the Violin Concerto in g-minor, specifically: the Largo.

Sonata Arctica - Blinded no more

Oh thank god someone else likes Apocalyptica.  I played some of their stuff over Teamspeak for some of the OPP guys last year, and they weren't impressed.  I even linked them to a few good concert videos!  The bastards...  :P

I'm sure someone else has posted this, but I've been listening to a lot of Three Days Grace lately.  Hell, while I'm in iTunes, I'll just post all the bands I have on my current gaming playlist:

-Breaking Benjamin
-Disturbed
-Drowning Pool
-Linkin Park
-Metallica
-Pillar
-Red
-Rob Zombie
-Saliva
-Skillet
-Thousand Foot Krutch
-Three Days Grace
-Twelve Stones
