human sugestions

no im not thiking about new guns, buildables and other changes.
im thinking about animations and sounds.

1.when basi kills a human in leg, he should scream and lose that leg instead of falling onto the basi.
2.when a basi kills human in head, the head should just roll away from humans body.
3.when dragoon kills human in leg, the dragoon will swalow it.
4.when dragoon kills human in head he should lose the head.
5.when adv. dragoon snipes a human in body, the body has a large bloody hole.
6.when tyrant mauls the human, human should go in two pieces
7.scars on batllesuits when hit. more scars, less health.

thats all violent, isnt it ?

NOUSIR.

More fleshed-out animations are a good idea; it makes the game a lot better, eyecandy wise. Also, it adds realism to the game; if you get your little cloth-covered human slashed in a one-hit-kill by a ten-foot tall tyrant, you shouldn't just fall over. Another thing that would be nice is if blood splatters could be added, as in, dead aliens form a puddle of green goo wherever they die, dead humans form a puddle of red goo wherever they die, and whenever either class is injured, blood splatters on the walls behind them or beside them.

EDIT:

To quiet any potential "M-rating here we come" naysayers, I'll mention this;

These effects/animations would be OFF by default. The player would have to change it in the settings for them to become active.

Besides being funny written, I think I actually like the ideas.

Oh yes. It might also recruit a few more alien players, since they'll just be in it to watch the gory animations they cause. :P

I think some of the buildable animations could really do with some work. The Armoury death anim is just a 90 degree rotation, for goodness' sake. Many other buildables, like turrets, don't even have a death animation.

Sadly, really good modellers (or even mediocre ones) are hard to come by :(

Basically the suggestion is gibs and multipart ragdoll. That's gonna need some substantial engine and content changes.

The body part gibbing is probable, it's in JKA. If your lightsaber hits, say, an arm, bye bye arm. So is blood sticking on walls, floors, etc.

Its just a simple deformation of the model anyone should be capable of that (With the Utilities of coarse)?

Please try to use a spell-checker next time you post, even Thunderbird has a nifty plugin that does it for you.

Oh be quiet. If you go and look at Haraldx's earlier posts it's obvious that he's making an effort and improving. That post, he made an epic grand total of 2 spelling errors, both of which were frankly trivial.

Oh and also I realise my original post may have sounded like I don't appreciate the modellers we already have. I do, but we have something like twenty coders and something like three modellers. Plus you can write a patch in a day but it can take weeks to finish a decent model.

bleeding players => lets them being tracked when they try hiding/healing
but that would heavily affect gameplay

it would make it annoying like tremX when you get poisoned by the plague, and campers happily transfer it to you each time you spawn...
