Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am now in need of extra cash. In light of this, im selling off several of things I own in order to make some money. As of now, I am selling a package of 'Tremulous' related things.

Heres what the package will include:

The server is already preconfigured with all of the settings, including ISPCP which is like Cpanel. The server is colocated in the Volumedrive.com Datacenter. It has 1500GB on 100mbit, or can be switched to 10mbit unmetered. The colocation price is $37.50/month (very cheap and affordable). You can keep it there or move it to a new location.

Wow, hot damn, that's a lot of money to spend on Tremulous servers. But I assume these are high quality servers, even comes with the top-notch websites, so it sounds like a bargain to me. 
So, obviously people will have to pay monthly for the websites, I'm guessing? But, is it even allowed for people to sell servers? 
Right now I assume its okay.

Server is in Scranton, PA in the Volumedrive Datacenter. Yes, you will pay for the domain renewal and the monthly cost for the server ($37.50). Domains have been recently renewed and are registered at namecheap.com

IPB Licenses cost $25 each every 6 months. You do not need to have a license in order to use their forums i believe, however - Simply, you wont be allowed support/updates until you renew. (Unsure if this is how it works or not though).

Confess- this is a sad day. the tremulous community is losing one of its long time supporters. we thank you for all your hard work and we hope you stick around and remain active in tremulous. tremulous is in a down slope - you can argue it but you can't deny it - and it needs all the support it can get. and losing its long-time supporters is a heavy blow.

a little history... for those of you that dont know me, i run the dretch storm game server. what many people dont know is that i started playing tremulous on sst. my brother evilfrog also used to play regularly on sst. one day he pulled me away from starcraft and said "let me show you this cool game" and *BOOM* i got instantly hooked to tremulous. i know some of the old sst regulars and how united their community is. i left almost 2 years ago to build my own community by inspiration from Paradox - but that's another story

on a lighter note, the obliter8.com community welcomes their SST brothers. we are here for the long haul, help us build a strong FOSS gaming community. we dont intend to replace SST, but we invite you to continue supporting Tremulous and other FOSS games.

Actually the monthly costs are not the problem. It is the difficulty to get together 500 dollar by some random guys on the internet. Also, if Lava had actually read the post Confess made he would have realized that selling the server is not due to monthly payments not being feasible.

But as we all know, Lava only picks things out of a thread so he can pounce on someone and make himself feel superior.

Obviously, Confess does not have enough money to keep SST running, which indicates more donations would be needed to keep SST running.

Confess said he needs money and that's why he is selling stuff that he owns. Since this is a Tremulous forum, the things that he owns that are Tremulous-related are being sold here.

There is no word from him that he is selling SST only because donations are not covering the monthly running costs.
