Get Sexually Frustrated Admins Laid, Save Tremulous

These days, it seems like a lot of people are wondering why the Trem-player community is dying off.

Is it the transition to 1.2? Is it just too old of a game? Are newer shooters like MW2 and the like simply elbowing in on our players' time?

I can't tell you the answers to these questions.

What I can tell you is that sexually frustrated pub-admins aren't exactly helping to recruit new players into the fold. What with their obnoxious bickering and constant insisting that EVERYONE ELSE is a noob and the fact that they have to slash at any Mara that even LOOKS like it might block them for a moment when rounding a blind corner in the A.T.C.S hallway.

These same guys always seem to forget that they're playing on UNLAGGED and that the player on the other end only sees an empty corner and then a Rant slashing them before they can even BEGIN to move out of the way. Or maybe they simply think the bouncing Mara is purposefully trying to block them, I don't know. I'm not them. To me, these things just seem petty and kind of sad.

Not that all Admins are like this. I've actually met way more helpful admins than asshole ones. It's just that the friendly ones never seem to be on (maybe because they are not socially inept and have lives) and the dicks are always there, just waiting to try and fuck up a good game.

I don't need to name any names, because most of us already know exactly who I'm talking about. Like I said, the player community is getting smaller and smaller.

And then these same disgruntled admins, they complain that everyone on their server is "a n00b" while simultaneously treating EVERY PLAYER ON THERE like an annoyance. As if they actually think anyone but a complete idiot would consider being treated like shit a good way to spend their time.

"Yeah, guys! Let's all stick around while this desperate man-child we can't kick TK's on a whim and calls us all 'rtarded'!"

No thanks. I already HAVE a job. This is when I'm trying to have fun.

Anyway, I just wanted to state my case and make a simple request:

To anyone who personally knows an admin matching the above description, PLEASE TRY TO GET THEM LAID. It will make the world a slightly more tolerable place for said Admin and at the same time you will be doing your part to SAVE TREMULOUS by making the server a better place for players.

I do pretty much the same as Conzul. I apologize on both public and team chat when I TK, which is all accidents. I will usually at first try to tell a bad builder to stop building, and I mean c'mon, who DOESN'T like cookies?

I wonder if we had enough adv. maras to keep a constant supply of zapiness, could they power an oven to make all the hummies cookies so they could all get along. I mean really: dretch only wants to hug your face, adv mara wants to be your rave hat, basi your regular hat, rant wants to give you a bear hug, goon wants to play tag, and granger just wants you to not harm friend granger... and maybe to be your pillow at a sleep-in.

And, yeah, I try to be noob-friendly as well by telling bad builders what's wrong, why, and how to fix it. Though, my motivation are kind of selfish. Basically, I'm sick of ALWAYS having to build.

I've actually met way more helpful admins than asshole ones. It's just that the friendly ones never seem to be on (maybe because they are not socially inept and have lives) and the dicks are always there, just waiting to try and fuck up a good game.

As an admin on AA, I always go out of my way to make sure I slash all passing maras, basis, and dretches; denybuild anyone who builds anything I don't like; and also abuse my vote kick immunity to tk everyone near me and tk the turrets because I like the smoke that comes out of them. Also, I enjoy dishing out permabans on a regular basis. I have a quota you see. Furthermore, if I get hopped, I make sure to build the rc and pause the game immediately so it can finish building while flaming out the other team.

Yes, it's true that admins are bad. And even not sometimes. Then, lets hope that in 1.2(full not that GPP):
1.Starting server will be easier
2.Ability to kick player from team without having countervotes from other team. Like BTKFH(bastard teamkillers from Hell)

Starting servers is already too easy, which is the problem.  Once sort by ping is default hopefully all the shitty server will die as their gaming the list won't work.  IMO all home-hosted servers should be dropped from the list >_>.

And you can already do team kick votes.  /callteamvote kick.
