BITCH BITCH RAGE RAGHAGRHAAHRRRR
HAH. Good eyes.
I speculate that the devs were so impressed by stannum's dual flamer concept that they're currently in the process of producing a far more adult oriented take on trem for the 1.2 release.
I agree, the devs are extremely secretive, keeping gameplay changes for 1.2 under wraps and in no way making them easily available to anyone who wants to try them, posting no renders or concepts for new artwork, producing new sound assets in-house and keeping those top-secret, keeping development extremely private and restricting related discussion to hidden irc channels, the list goes on.
When's the last time you've seen something from the devs? Or, better yet, had evidence that they're ALIVE?
Last update... 29-Jul-2010!? Stannum's been dead for three months, now.
First update to do with 1.2. Jesus... '06? 22-Nov-2006.
It's been seven months since GPP 4 was released. They were (up until the last one) only a month apart, but it's been the better half of a year now. Our main page (
http://tremulous.net/) has been dead since May, and for the 12 months prior to it dying, the only person with anything to say on the news page has been Khalsa.
Code changes are goin' slow...
http://projects.mercenariesguild.net/projects/tremulous/activityIf this is an indication of a release, why are there no other indications? Notice we've never been told roughly on a whole how complete 1.2 is. Yeah, yeah, we've gotten the whole "we're only missing sounds" bit, but that's been going on since April, and the issue has been there
since the release of 1.1 (making it seem, to me, like a non-issue).
I'm fine with GPP. Hell, I'm fine with 1.1. My curiosity is at its peak, though.

Anyway, off to GPP.
