The marine Project
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:44:01 am »
Marine   (Futuristic Marine fighting officer)     Is coming

I am working on a marine that would be animated for ingame or for animation. I would provide the download link after its done.
For now Im working on this-

After I find a good texture artist I will submit this work under free license and all that. But for the fun-stuff it would be textured and animated.

I will probably post weekly updates.  ::)

Check out my youtube page for the animation's I do and My performances.

Feel free to post whatever and feedback is much appreciated.

I would suggest morphing the male model and changing the face and skin parts of the textures.

Yes, but a lot of work anyway. Different body, animation, etc... Almost complete rebuild. =D

Textures are going to make or break this project because you want to keep the poly count low,
higher poly organics can be done with shaders instead of just textures.

They would be disproportionately large if they were bare, but that could be armour of sorts?

NN spits on your model :P

no but seriously, keep it up.... i posted that (not just to be a total dick) but to give you an example of what might help, just make a base anatomy model and build a high poly marine from it, then bake it down and put it in three parts so that you can skip the 1k poly count.

Wow, it's your first low-poly model right? I'm happy you finally do, but don't speak.

Not bad, but the mesh looks like it's missing something... What it's not missing, though, is that fluorescent-blue thong. That has to go.

ok, can you give me the tool thingy app that can code?

His face/helmet kinda reminds me of monkey, and from what I know there's an option to render the model in a way it looks "smoother". Other than that I like it

Hey dude did you ever finish this model?  I'm trying to make a tremulous animation and need all the models I can get.  I'll give you credits for it of course.  Hopefully no one minds I just grave digged a bit
