SatGNU !bans Poland

Hi everybody,

Today, maci banned Poland from our Tremulous server. This is not a racist action, nor an action against Poland, but an action against the multitude of Polish players who think that any server they join is Polish territory, and behave accordingly. This is annoying a lot of people, who are fed up with the constant Polish talking, asking if they want to switch to English speak usually has no result.

Now, we know that of course not everybody from Poland is lacking in social skills, and we have a few people from Poland who play on SatGNU like any other person, speaking English and behaving properly. Since we do not want to lose people like you, and certainly not let you pay for the behaviour of your miscreant neighbours, hop over to #satgnu on irc.quakenet.org and we can work something out.

We hope the cool Polish players do not feel attacked, since that is not our intention.

When I say Poland sucks, I say that because I have been there, and I have no love for 3rd-world countries. That has absolutely nothing to do with the banning of Poland from SatGNU, since my personal opinion about Poland is not important, the behaviour they show on our server is. That is what we go by.

Last time I checked, Poland was a First World country.

This does work for either IPs or dyndns . if you have a dyndns you have to wait max. 5 minutes for the server to get your new ip and update the firewall rules.

I fully agree with you Lava, because some of those Polish players are too strict and in MG Server, a lot of people were banned right away when Polish players took control of it... it's very annoying so they should stop it.

OK, i understand and think so too, that there are just overloads of polish newbz... (especially with 'PL' in nick..), but arent u takin it too hard talkin about domination, problems in Poland etc? the problem was that they are finding servers their territory (talkin in polish, whinin in polish, takin no care for the "stick to english here" warnings, noobility, dumbassility [lol ;p] etc etc etc).
