What's an administrator area?
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

What's an administrator area?

It's like a secret area where you can find extra resources. (I would put emergency buildings (except turrets), this makes it so it can't be a camp area. turrets should be banned (therefore the area is too small for them).

Euhm what. The turret has by far the second-smaller hitbox from human buildings (with the first being the repeater).
Nonsense.

I feel that most games go out like this: Humans do alright at first against Dretches, but once a Dretch manages to evolve, they basically become bulletproof to the basic rifle, unfortunately, this leads to very frusterated humans. Doing minor adjustments like speed adjustments to Dretches(As it seems like I'm trying to shoot at a bullet when one is coming at me) And maybe more hits to kill a human when your a Dragoon(Dragoons could still be VERY dangerous even if it took two swipes instead of one to kill a human.

Good rifles have no problem with any alien class. Dretch speed is fine. It is easy to shoot one before it can get you (unless it is a good Dretch), the problem only being when they come in groups of 3 or more while you are alone. Dragoon can't kill in one hit if you get a Helmet. However I will assume you mean at Stage 1. Easiest thing to do: stay back. Use your range to your advantage. Shoot it before it gets close enough to get to you. Backpedaling is a good way to stay far enough back, although a good dancer can keep from getting chomped (and in some cases, pounced) while they take out the Dragoon. Crouching is an extremely underrated method of avoiding Dragoons. While it won't necessarily do anything, if the Dragoon is untrained at chomping on a smaller target, it is highly likely that they will miss the chomp. And Dragoons often pounce higher rather than lower, so crouching can often save you from pounces, too.

However, after all that, what Pazuzu said is true: travel in groups. If you and your team can't work together enough to travel in groups, you guys are screwed. End of story.

It's true, a human against me and my Goon, almost no matter what they have (Save Flamer or a good Luci shot, or very skilled dodging) Tend not to have a chance, 2 light armored with helmets, starts to get a bit rough, not too bad, and nearly anything more then that turns into a suicide for the Goon,

This is a sticky thread asking for suggestions, so you can still post here. Just don't expect the dev team to be listening.

Either you don't know that designated builders already exist in most versions of the game and disconnecting removes designated buildings, or you're making a joke about some proposed removal of the 'designated builder' that I haven't heard about and wouldn't expect to happen.

Not in all servers. I still remember having a annoying admin leave after protecting every structure in totally stupid spots and we couldn't move them at all.

Designated builder is not an official feature, denybuild is far more effective.

I know this has been suggested before (because I suggested this years ago) but is it possible for the dev team to do anything rendering wise? taking advantage of newer OpenGL features? I don't see how incompatibility with OpenGl would be an issue with the current code being used with newer OpenGl as I thought OpenGl, unlike directx is fully compatible with previous versions.  I also don't see the argument of "oh well we need to make sure that our lower end users can still play this" at this point the low end users aren't as low end as they were 5 years ago, so I don't see how that is an argument, im not talking about OpenGl 4.2 here, just a few steps up from what we've had for ever, and maybe add a 1000 more polygons to the limit.

MOST SHITTY UPDATE EVER MADE TO TREMULOUS
« Reply #196 on: March 06, 2013, 03:33:51 pm »
Today i noticed changes which weren't announced on the website yet. Rifles speed got increased. I want to say that humans are terrible overpowered now. This update ruined tremulous for me (veteran player) and for new peoples which won't join game as alien for sure. I bet now you will see no new peoples due to that changes.

Let me explain something. First stage was the way to gain evos on humans and prepare top break thier camp defence, now if humans will camp with "uzi" rifles  we have almost no chance to break thier defences and also to get evos. Now this game really became a humans camp festival. I am sorry but noone are interested in constantly feeding and that's all what left for aliens. Revert that changes if you wont see empty servers after a while. These changes are not the way to go!

Mostly i don't give a shit about changes, but this time update is going to ruin my beloved game.

I'm afraid he may well be real, i'm going to assume that he's only played RCZ, as at the time i encountered him he seemed to quite enjoy the futility of trempoline and refused to join a server with a moderately high ping for fear of it being hard to play, he was quite charming about it, iirc.

200ms is extremally high ping for fps game, i have tryed play on your official server but when we reach 12 players online even with limiteed build we encountered 1 second lag spikes despite a ping(ask others). If you want to get some players move your server to germany or atlast invest in a better host.
That would be enought for me to join your server.

*suggested changes:

Also i would suggest to incrase build points not to "unlimited" but just a bit because by taking away building expirience you took away huge part of game expirience. You can't make tactical building with 7 rets ....

Reconsider that suggested changes, because i think that it would help to gain some players.

BTW:
About complain about new update, its seems like it was a Yalts server bug which makes client bugged, after exit yalts server to main menu, every joined server has yalts weapon animations.

There are still some active 1.1 servers, and one active modded GPP server. You should check those out.

Wrong time of the day? :P (it gets players when no one's on edge)
